Agent setup guides

Wire your agent to social in a minute.

Setup for each agent and automation tool we've tested. Any MCP client that speaks Streamable HTTP works the same way.

  • Claude Code

Connect Claude Code to LinkedIn, X and Bluesky with one claude mcp add command. Scopes, tool names, permission rules, example prompts and Claude Code-specific fixes.

  • Claude Desktop

Connect Claude Desktop to LinkedIn, X and Bluesky through mcp-remote. Exact config per OS, where the logs are, example prompts, approval and Claude Desktop fixes.

  • Cursor

Add a social posting MCP server to Cursor with .cursor/mcp.json. Exact config, env-var keys, tool approval and auto-run, example prompts and Cursor-specific fixes.

  • OpenClaw

Let OpenClaw post to LinkedIn, X and Bluesky. Add the MCP server under mcp.servers, probe it, approve from chat, use toolFilter, and fix OpenClaw-specific errors.

  • Hermes Agent

Connect Hermes Agent to LinkedIn, X and Bluesky: mcp_servers entry in config.yaml, /reload-mcp, mcp_socials_ tool names, tool filters, prompts and Hermes fixes.

  • n8n

Post to LinkedIn, X and Bluesky from n8n with one HTTP Request node. Exact node settings, idempotency keys that survive retries, response handling and n8n fixes.

Two ways an agent can post

Chat agents such as Claude Code, Cursor and Claude Desktop connect to the MCP server and call tools like create_post directly. Workflow tools such as n8n are better served by the REST API: one HTTP request per post, with an Idempotency-Key so a retried workflow never publishes twice.

Both paths share the same accounts, rules and results, so you can mix them: an agent drafts and schedules, a workflow posts on a timer, and both show up in GET /v1/posts.

What every setup needs

Three things, whichever agent you use:

  • An API key: create one at /signup or with POST /v1/workspaces.
  • At least one connected account: the agent can create a connect link, but a person opens it and approves access.
  • A rule for approval: ask the agent to dry-run and show you each post before publishing, at least until you trust the setup.

Questions

What people ask

Can any AI agent post to social media with this?

Any agent that can call an MCP server over Streamable HTTP with an Authorization header, or that can make HTTP requests to a REST API. The guides here cover the clients we've written setup steps for; others follow the same pattern.

Do I need to give the agent my social media passwords?

No. The agent only holds an API key. Account owners connect their accounts on each network's own approval screen through a connect link, and you can disconnect an account or revoke the key at any time.

What does it cost to let an agent post?

Free covers 3 active accounts and 100 posts a month. After that, Hobby is $9 a month for 5 active accounts and Pro is $29 for 25, with unlimited posts. Only accounts that posted in the month count.
